Stark County Fairgrounds hosting antique market and Spring Fling with rides, food trucks

A Spring Fling event is taking place through Saturday at the Stark County Fairgrounds. Amusement park rides and fun for kids are featured.

CANTON − The Stark County Fairgrounds is featuring amusement park rides and other activities for kids on today and Saturday.

Kissel Amusement Co. is hosting the Stark County Spring Fling with rides and food trucks.

Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. tonight and noon to 8 p.m. Saturday (April 1). Saturday also includes an Easter egg hunt noon to 2 p.m.

Wristbands for riding will cost $15 at the fairgrounds; single tickets are $1.50; groups of 10 tickets are $15 and 20 tickets are $25.

Rain was in the forecast on today, including wind gusts of up to 32 miles per hour. Rain and thunderstorms were in the forecast for Saturday afternoon with strong wind gusts possible, according to the National Weather Service . Chance of rain was 100% today and 90% on Saturday.

Also at the fairgrounds Saturday will be a vintage antique market 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the antique market will be $3; children under age 5 are admitted for free.

The Stark Vintage Market features antiques, collectibles, and artisan and repurposed goods, including furniture, pottery, vintage clothing and linens, jewelry, retro toys and comics.

Parking is free for both events at the fairgrounds, 305 Wertz Ave. NW.
