Letter to the editor: Save abandoned animals

The Repository

I would like to talk about abused animals and homeless animals. In my opinion, there are way too many homeless animals just in Stark County. My family and I are remodeling a house in Massillon, and there are four stray cats just trying to survive in the weather. Luckily, a person feeds them, but even when they are outside in the snow and meowing to come in, it is just so sad to see them trying to find some warmth. I don’t like how people can just dump their animals on the side of the road. It is cruel and sick to think about it.

I just wanted to let you know that there are so many animals out there that need homes and love from caring people. The Humane Society is a great place to give your animals if you really don't want that animal in your house. Some people don't care about that when they are just kicking that animal out of there. They think, “Oh I can’t take care of this animal, so it will have to fend for itself.” I know that there are people out there that are truly superheroes for saving animals' lives, and I thank them so much from the bottom of my heart for doing what they do to keep these animals in their homes alive and healthy.
