Knitters, crocheters needed to help create yarn display

CANTON – A group of volunteers has gathered again to bring color to downtown Canton with the “Create the Possibilities Yarn Explosion.” Last year’s display of colorful yarn graced light poles, posts and rails along Court Avenue. This year, the group plans to include buildings along Sixth Street NW in the display on Court Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets NW from June to September.

The event is sponsored by BZTAT Studios, an art gallery and studio at 209 Sixth St. NW. The group is looking for others in the community to help with creating the installation. Mostly, they need volunteers to make small, crocheted circles that will be combined to make the overall display. They also welcome yarn and other material donations. Makers can work individually at their homes, or work as a group in weekly meetings on Thursday evenings at BZTAT Studios. A Facebook group facilitates communication to keep the project moving. Contact BZTAT Studios at 330-371-3150 or email bztat@bztat.com for more information.
