Ray Stipe

Ray Stipe, age 86, of East Canton, OH passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023. He was born November 21, 1936 in Inman, Virginia to the late Herbert and Flora (Collins) Stipe. Ray served in the United States Marine Corp. and he was a member of the Louisville Baptist Temple.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Beverly Stipe, in January of 2021 and 12 siblings. Ray is survived by two daughters, Karen Gearhart and Kelly Moye; four grandchildren: Andrea (Justin) Linsted, Eric (Colleen) Gearhart, Jacob (Ashley) Moye, Adam Moye; two great-grandchildren, Crew and Campbell Linsted; and a sister, Nancy Vincer.

Funeral services will be 11am Friday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Mike Harmon officiating. Calling hours will be 10-11 am Friday morning at the funeral home. Ray will be laid to rest, beside his wife, in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Louisville Baptist Temple.
